Like last year, turntables were everywhere at IFA this year. Turntables were used to beef up the Sony booth. Turntables were used as decoration in the massive Samsung City. They also features turntables to promote the Austrian AKG brand, which has now come under Korean ownership since the Harman takeover. But the king of turntables was of course Technics. Showcased in separate area in the Panasonic Hall, they exhibited both the three new SL models as well as a new, flagship direct drive model. Also included on display was historid DD models from the seventies and eighties. A really nice way to display the products.
